December 15th, 2018 - Amanda H., an Inflowee in Alexandria, Virginia is making it matter. This past weekend she and her husband volunteered with Wreaths Across America to place wreaths on the headstones of fallen U.S. veterans at the Arlington National Cemetery.
As each wreath is laid, volunteers reflect on the conflict the individual served in and, as a symbol that their sacrifice has not been forgotten, say their name aloud.
For Amanda and her husband who both have family and friends buried in National Cemeteries, being able to honor and remember their sacrifices each year brings comfort and joy in remembering our American Heroes.
Thank you Amanda for honoring those who have paid the price to give us our freedom.
Wreaths Across America’s mission is to remember our fallen U.S. Veterans; Honor those whose serve; and Teach our children the value of freedom. Each December, volunteers perform wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
